great camera with lots of features. I am still a beginner and working through some of the settings but overall am very happy with this purchase.

I got this as a backup for my 5D MIV, mostly for nature shooting but also for everything else, and I love it. The focusing speed and accuracy are comparable to the very-responsive 80D that I'll soon be selling, having decided to go completely full frame. The narrow spread of the focus points isn't ideal, but it's pretty easy to accommodate for, especially when shooting static objects where you can focus and recompose. And it's worlds above the original 6D. In fact, the 6D II has a bunch of new features that make it highly superior to the original. That fact compelled me to replace my existing 6D, not the least being the articulating, touch-sensitive screen, which helps me greatly in shooting macro wildlife, including venomous snakes. I'll be using it a lot for this purpose, and I'm very sure the images will be even better than those from the 80D with 100mm macro (though with full-frame I'll have to get slightly closer for equivalent shots....). Came just as described and works fabulous battery life is awesome the only thing I did not like it is none of my efs lens don't work but that was a research thing on my end when I ordered it but I don't really have any complaints.

Not new to DLSR camera I wanted an upgrade. I did not own any extra lenses and was coming from a Rebel TSi, a laughable comparison to the 6D Mark II. Since I was not encombered by converting glass I wanted to get a Full Frame (FF) that would last a while. I compared this to the 80D and the 5D MKIV before settling on the 6D MkII. Namely, for the price point difference between 5D MkIV and 6D MkII I can invest the rest into glass (Canon MP-E 65mm, 100mm L) along with the wonderful 24-105mm as an everyday carry around. I was not at all disappointed. I waited for a little over two months to write this review. I got it at the time when the battery grip was included (a great deal), and I purchased an extra battery to fill the grip with. My first trip I went to several parks nearby to get a feel for it, then went to Yellowstone National Park for five days. Pictures came out incredibly sharp. The 24-105 is a sharp camera lens, wonderful for wide angle, but not Ultra Wide (UW) as the 16-35mm or .

I've been shooting this camera for 6 months now and really want to give it 5 stars. It is solid, produces beautiful images, and I love the articulating touch screen and intuitive menus. I'm not bothered by some of it's well-publicized short-comings such as no 4K video, 1 card slot, or 1/4000 shutter speed, and I'm not having any issues with the dynamic range. If you want incredible image quality, this camera nails it. However, the limited coverage of the focusing points in the viewfinder can be a pain in the butt, and results in a 4-star rating from me. I was aware of this issue when I bought the camera, but I was upgrading from the Canon 60D which only has 9 focusing points. At first, I thought the "focus and recompose" method would continue to be an adequate work around, but the more I shoot, the more the focusing limitations annoy me. To be fair, when shooting in Live Mode, the touch screen offers more focusing coverage than the viewfinder, but I'm mostly shooting through the viewf.

My wife and I recently had a baby, and the shots I was getting with my old Canon T3i and kit lens just weren't cutting it. I didn't want to get a 5D because of the price, and am very happy with the 6D. One of the things I was most looking forward to in the upgrade was having more focus points. This one has 45 focus point, and I'm always using this upgraded capability from the 11 focus points that were on my old T3i. I was initially worried since some of the YouTube reviews said that the focus points were all clumped in the middle, and this is definitely true. I'd say that about 10-15% of the time, I wish that the focus points were more spread out and I could focus on something closer to the edge of my photo. Getting a 5D or a mirrorless camera would certainly help with this. Overall though, it's not a huge issue, and I make it work. High ISO quality is great, tons of features, wifi works (although don't expect this to work like AirDrop...), and the pictures of my daughter always come.

Bought one year ago to the day. After only a couple months of use, the top analog screen stopped working and the inner focus light isn't working. I've google and googled the issue thinking I just messed up a setting. Still nothing... I'm so upset. The camera works fine otherwise, but such a crappy luck with the one I got..

I have owned multiple Canon cameras over the years, researched and tested each one before officially purchasing them, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt, this was the worst Canon purchase I've ever made. Since buying it brand new at the end of March 2022, I have had to send this camera in for repairs 3 times. Three times the camera has stopped working, each time while I was in the middle of shoots might I add, all due to the inferior build design of this product. Three times this camera has proven utterly undependable, and had I not had a second camera at my side, I would have been royally screwed. I am about to ship this camera into the Canon Repair Facility for the third time since receiving it 7 months ago and if history has taught me anything, it won't be the last and I'll be doing so again before I even know it..

They sold me a lemon! After I take just a few shots the camera shuts off! I thought it was a bad battery. So I've tried three other batteries that work in my other canon. This camera just randomly shuts off and won't turn back on again! The only way to get it to come back on is to take the battery out and put it back in! Ruins your photo shoot for sure! I wish I could return it! It's useless! But since I thought it was just a bad battery I wanted to give it a try. But it's defected for sure! This was my Christmas gift and retirement gift and now I'm stuck this not working camera!.

I thought I was upgrading from my Canon 80d, but the 6dmark ii is my unreliable emergency back up now. I wasted money on this and can't imagine ever trying again. It can't handle shadows, leaving magenta lines. However, the lower quality canon cameras can. Canon was no help when reaching out. Such an awful purchase. Also, within two months of owning, this camera's display stopped working in the middle of an event causing me to have to refund payments. This is the worst purchase I've made for my business,thou have returned the camera and got my money back..

Save your money and order this from BestBuy. We bought this end of November.... first week to two was very pleased but out of no where it started freezing up while we took pictures. You cannot turn it off and have to pull the battery to get it to shut down. Requested a replacement but never heard from anyone. Called today and all they can do is refund me my money once the item is returned. Now we will be without a camera for a while. Not happy at all. Especially spending good money for an item and not being able to use it and have the funds tied up waiting on a refund..

Had this only since 3/14/2021 and the last 3 weeks I have had problems with this camera. Come to find out it is a shutter error. Err 20 Now it looks like I have to send to Canon to have it fixed..

I love this camera, it takes amazing pictures and very good in low light. I have 3 reasons why I substracted 3 stars from my rating. Starting with reason number 1- Canon has decided for some odd reasons that this full frame camera with hefty price gets 1/4000 shutter speed while it's little brother the EOS 80d which cost half what the 6d2 cost gets 1/8000 ss. 2- This might have the same Auto Focus system as the 80d which is a great AF system (FOR THAT CAMERA) while in reality that system is literary not designed to be on a Full Frame body. All the focus points are clustered in the middle of the frame while about %50 of the view finder is left without auto focus points. 3- Only 1 memory card slot (Common Canon) I am not going to rant about this camera not having 4k because I believe Canon is not going to give us that while the competition like Sony is putting every single feature and technology in their cameras and upping the game for Canikon Giants.

Save your money and purchase a 6D or a 5D Mark IV. This camera is a complete and utter failure. I have used a 6D for about 3 years and enjoyed it. I have also owned a 5D mark III and the low light performance of the 6D was better so I did not keep the Mark III. When the 6D Mark II was released a had read a few reviews about the poor dynamic range and low light performance but did not think that could have been correct. I was very wrong. This is a huge step backwards and truly request selling my 6D and replacing it with this poor performer. I liked the new articulating screen but the extremely poor dynamic range and low light performance has really led me to being dissatisfied with this camera and thus returned it. I would advise believing the reviews and stay away. Canon blew it big time with this model!.

Maybe I got a bad one but the images are really soft. I've tried it with different lenses and also compared it with my 7D II with the same lenses and it's not even close. It's definitely a defective camera because there is no way this could be the case with every one of them. I've found online that this does happen to people but not to everyone. If I get it fixed I'll update the review..

This Canon camera delivers and then some - so I started out many years ago using the Canon Rebel T3, then eventually moved up to the T7i and now the 6D, Mark II and WOW I absolutely love it! Pair it with a prime or luxury lens and you have the PERFECT combination - there is a lot to learn and while the camera came with a manual, I purchased a separate indepth detail book as there are so many goodies within each menu on the camera! Well worth the splurge. It does not have the built in flash, and performs very well in low light without the flash, handheld! I have a great speedlite and got this camera as I am a forever Canon lover. The shipping was fantastic too - a great choice all around!.
