I never shot on cameras with full frame sensors. So, I don't know what I'm missing, which is a good thing. This camera produces great photos and beautiful video footage. I really feel the results I get from grading the S-Log3 footage took my videography work to another level..

I use this camera to integrate into a documentary Sony workflow. Great workhorse, great performance, and great value. Don't let the negative reviews distract from the value. Great B cam for my FX3 and FX6 setups, and discrete body. Also great for my clients that want a better looking webcam when paired with some decent glass..

I teach video and certify my students in premier pro, we have FX3 at the school. Dont’t believe anything you hear about the low light capabilities of the FX30. Pair it with the right lens (something a stop lower than 2.8) and you will get the same quality from the fx30 you do from the fx3. Save yourself $1500 and get the APSC body. Use what you save towards good glass and you will be amazed! Best camera I have ever owned.

Es mi segunda Fx30, estoy muy satisfecho con esta cámara para video que decidí comprar otra, ¡y a un precio fantástico! La recomiendo ampliamente..

The Sony FX30 is a remarkable addition to the world of compact cinema cameras. Its superb image quality, versatile Super 35 sensor, and user-friendly interface make it a dream for indie filmmakers and content creators. The camera's ability to shoot in 4K with exceptional color science elevates the visual storytelling to new heights. Furthermore, its robust build quality and impressive low-light performance make it a reliable tool for a variety of shooting conditions. The FX30 truly stands out for its balance of professional features and accessibility, making it a top choice for anyone looking to produce high-quality video content..

This camera is unreal. If you take the time to learn how the Cine EI feature works and shooting in S-Log3, combine that with DCI 4K and true 24p and you will be greatly rewarded. I don’t even leave the house without my fx30 anymore. I make blockbuster-feel movies out of everything..

This has to be the best cinema camera for the price right now. The value from this thing is next level. Superior video quality and the internal fan will keep it cool for long shoots. I've had this camera recording for hours on end with zero issues or heat warnings. Keep it up Sony!.

The sony fx30 is amazing for those just getting into video. The image quality is a beast, has almost all the features of the a7III in a crop sensor for half the price. Its nice to see cameras targeting video over photography thats meant for normal users and not those in the production/television feild. Only con is the set up is not user friendly and its photography aspects are lacking. Definitely not a hybrid camera.

After filming 3 features on the BMPCC4K, I swapped out my rig this summer and went in on Sony. I started with the FX30 (with a plan to move on to the FX6 later this year and build up an all-Sony cinema package). DOWNSIDE: I miss the straightforward (logical?) menu on the Blackmagic, as well as its large screen & built-in focus peaking. UPSIDE: the FX30’s larger sensor size and better color science. Also it grips well in the hand, feeling much more solid than the plastic shell of the BMPCC. I’ve combined it with an all-Tilta cage/top handle/mini matte box rig setup and 7Artisans lenses and the images I’m getting from tests are amazing (haven’t pulled it out on a real film shoot yet, but will soon..

Cubre casi todas las necesidades para grabacion de video lo único negativo es que para grabar en la mejor calidad las tarjetas de memoria cfexpress tipo a son muy caras.

Please don't just follow the YouTube stars and just buy this camera. If you shoot in low light situation, you will be disappointed. It performs poorly in low light. I returned it immediately and upgraded to buy the A7 SIII..

I genuinely believe there might just be a shortage there out of stock in most places. So I hope that they make sure that the new ones are working well and are able to be shipped out soon. I really want to make content for my podcast. Full frame or aps-c regardless I’m sure this camera is going to be great!!
